I AM STAN

I am poetry

I am the definition of the handwriting

On the walls of Babylon

The one your fathers couldn’t read

The one you are learning how to write

I am black

A proof beyond the colour on my skin

I am a testament of strong bronzed men and regal black women

From whose loins I sprang

See I am a story deeply rooted in the root of Africa

A story inscribed on the walls of Zimbabwe

I am the Ndebele’s, the Ngoni’s, the Zulu’s, the Yoruba’s, Igbo’s and Hausa’s

I represent a culture sprang forth by different mothers

Yet remain kinsmen of a single father

See I am Africa

The cradle of civilization

I beget humanity at the Nile valley

And made love to nature at Victoria fall

Yet I am the son that was sold to colonialism

And became a myth in a white man’s tongue

I am the river Nile

I am the foot print on the walls of Africa

The one who took course across the walls of Congo

Down to the land of the fallen kings

I am the voice you hear from the talking drum

The “ogene” is beaten to remind you

To tell our story in our native tongue

I am wole soyinka, chinue Achebe, Chimamanda Adichie, Tunji sotimirin, Niyi Osundare, El Robert, Paul word

I am the words written

To re-write the broken history of our story

Hoping that things that fell apart would one day fall back together

I

Am

Stan

MONA LISA

Come with me my love
Away from the naked streets
Of the white man's land
Where mankind eyes glares
And street glass windows reflect our difference

Come into the ambiance of the Black seas
Where the black shell houses the white walnut
Where the air sense of melanin fragrance
Where the cricket's lullaby puts us to sleep
Where your skin would glow as a clear oil lamp
And our ancestors would gather just to talk at night

Let's sit with the moon In her full nakedness
She sends her kisses
I think we have her smiling at us
Below,the swaying palm trees rustles
In the high night breeze

It is the hours of the stars
I think you've got them all wrapped up in your eyes
The only one thing I would like you to do for me
Is to share the blossom moonlight with me
Let's touch the joy of the earth with love
Let's cloth the world with a speechless emotion

Lay your head on my beard chest and listen
As my heart speaks of my feelings to you
Listen very closely as it echoes your name
Listen and tell me how the stars stares at us
in the mist of this rhythmic silence that cradles us

Smile into my eyes and grow my heart even more fonder
Let the air be lamed and awestrcken
Let the fireflies glow even deeper
Let the cricket chirps loudly
For you whose smile freezes time

Let the night last much longer
Let the wind swirls strongly
Let the earth spins farther away from time
Let the stars falters even the more
For you who cause such wonder and awe

It's you mona Lisa; it's just you
That's has got me talking to the moon
It's your eyes that has got me dreaming of forever
From the clouds that floats by
and the wind's silent whisper
It's you; the bliss that has found me

Nature paints us in different shade
But beauty isn't define by what is outside
But by what lies within
And in regards to how you make me feel
You've given me an insight

Of where I want to be forever
Of who I want to be with forever
Of whose face I want to dream of forever
It's you mona lisa
It's just you.

Letter to "LOVE"

I wrote of you in every of my falling words
And spoke of you in a million languages
I looked far for you
I searched the streets of time for you
I searched beyond the stars and their constellate
beyond the source of the sun and the planets for you

Yet you I found
I found you where time exist not
Where nights faded not and morning misses it’s turn
Where the sun smiles and the moon goes naked
Yet I found you in a woman’s fickleness

For you I stripped naked of myself
Stood frozen at thy glorious presence
I watched myself betray itself for you
I gazed as it gave it sanity away
And cloth every judgement in your name
I heard they call you “Affection”
But I preferred a better caption to you speckles
Those glimmer of perfection
I make dreams of in my feeble mind

Oh “LOVE”
I have watched myself
Laugh and found comfort in your company
Like a breast milk to a childs tongue
I have stood and watched
my very own heart
beat it’s drum to your rhythm
Whilst l gave out my precious juice
Without a seek for recompense

Alas!
I have stood and watch
My heart faded for your very sake
Wilting away like trampled rose
I have watch
Whilst my heart frozen into stiffness like a refined crystal
Frosted like a Wine glass in winter
My emotions have she make merry of
My feelings have she poured out
To quench the selfish thirst running down her throat

My sore is unclothed
My wound still runs deep
All because i seek of you
In the wrong hands
 Oh! what a loss.

DEAR CHILD

You gather stars with your soft songs
And woo the naked moon
With your innocence

The moonlight kisses your presence
And speaks of you highly
In the rays of her full nakedness
She comes down to fellowship with man

In the wake of your presence
Mother nature sends her apologies
She pleaded guilty
To her ill-treatment
Of hatred; of pain; and suffering
On floods of your kind
Buried deep into their mothers comfort

I plead guilty too
If only I wasn't born
Into this failed society
Where you my child
will never go to school
Where the teachers cane
Will never taste your buttocks

If only I wasn't around
To witness
When you my child
Grow up to understand
That the land is polluted
By sour taste of testosterone juice
The land is not as green
As they claim it is

They say its a patriarch system
That's why you my daughter
Would disown my name
For another man's

So you see
That your charming beauty
That sparkle of smile you cherish
Would be wiped off your face
Because you smell of no testosterone fragrance

Your emerging breasts
Made of milk and honey
Would be doused by wicked lips
Who consider your kind to be weak
And unequal to bearers of two testicles

My son
If only I could stop you
From hearing the mother drum
The rumbling brawl
From the street where the youths are lazy
if only I could take you off
The company of fools
Those men with sold conscience
Running after the fragrance
that came of greed

Don't be like them son
Don't walk in the path
Of lesser mortals
Many souls had gone beyond
Many souls are paralyzed by corruption
Look away from them
For what lies ahead
Is condemnation.

REALITY OF BEING A POET

As weak as I am,
As strong as I seem
I dress up with words,
That fit my needs
So
You’ll never quite know,
What I’m really about
A facade of persona,
That you’ll never doubt
I’ll be a pillar when,
Inside I’ve crumbled
Calm, cool,
When my head screams and cries
Fine, when I know an unjust was done
Diplomatic when,
I’m raging inside
You will hear how beautiful life can be,
As I try my own self to convince
I write without, hesitation of hope,
Words of belief,
Are scribbled,
With nary a wince
Our lines, our stanzas,
Our poems of life
We instill faith,
For those who read
While inside we are really calling out,
For ourselves to also believe

BEYOND THE PAIN

Look beyond your regrets;
And paint your pain with a smile
Don’t spend your today in worries
For life is pregnant with tomorrow
I will watch your dreamy eyes
Whist you clothe your wishes with roses

Tomorrow holds more blessing,
Like a crown on the head of time.
There is a life away from the street,
Outside those rags around your neck
There is a life for you
Where your dreams will find the corridors of reality

So honey, do not be afraid of dreaming
because your dreams are not there to scare you,
they are there to let you know
That something in life is worth it
So go ahead; make those wishes
And paint yourself in tomorrows picture.

LONER'S WISH

Make me better with love
This my throbbing heart needs it dearly
Make me smile in my pain
Whilst I clothe my dreams with roses

Behold my wishes as they float the skies
These wishes are painted before my eyes
In glitters of a broken smile
My countless desires are bloated

Allow me to tell the world that I am naked
Allow me to feed my sight
With the countless images of fantasy
I see across the street of life

I’m just a girl; nothing more than a girl
Caught in between reality and dreams
That sound you hear beneath my silence
Are wishful prayers of a kid
In hope of life and its luxuries.

WORDS FOR YOU

Many a thousand word have I written for your sake
From the dusk of the night till when the morning is fully awake
My heart in whole you own; my being in all have I put at stake
Like a fool I am for you; you’ve gat my pen racing with no brake
Here I seek indulgence in dictionaries trying to find words to make
Light of the whole person you are; the whole essence of all your varieties in absolute
Your overwhelming attributes and what they all constitute
Here i find no word anywhere inscribed unlamely
Nor any image in it coherence acuity
To describe the perfection that you have become
The whole person that you are in total sum
There's nothing; no beauty of such left in words to define,
That your smile hasn’t redefine
How can one sentence define you?
how is it that someone like you
Gets the Sun in it’s glorious state laid
In the blanket of your own eyes and the grace they parade
Pens should be made to dance in flowing ink and rhymes
In tale of a lady whose grace keeps us from harm
See men pay homage to your weakness
For their own strength fails them; your acuteness
forces away from them the imperfection they bear
And the birth marks of frail they wear
Your image is carved on the hearts of many whose mind races glaring at it's elegance
My rhythm seems so becharming but it is you that captivates me in all relevance
Your eyes entrap me in it's ultimate capture that I drown in it's majesty
Your heart is surely side by side with mind and my soul you have raptuted completely
To till the lose ground so Your love could grow in my heart with ease
Just as gentle as the breeze and as green as the leaves
It has grown as tall as the trees
Not just in real time; in this present moment so sweet
But when tomorrow comes in it fullness, this love will still be this sweet
Death could find me today and take my soul
But still my heart will forever remain in love with you.

I WILL PRONOUNCE YOUR NAME

I will pronounce your name, Ajike
I will declaim it to the land kings and sky lords
That it is the fragrance of the roses of mother mary
Ajike, Your name is mild like fur coat

I will write of your name on every fallen dew
Cos your name tells a tale of an ancient goddess
Queen of itoga kingdom; Goddess of the osi river
Queen of the dry tornado, the hard clap of lightening beauty

When the forest blossoms forth under the midday sun
The wild beast will read of your name
Cos I made ridges with your names written boldly on it
To remind them that it is
An untreadable land belonging to a goddess

See the tired moon comes down in her full nakedness
And the savage wind lamed and awestrucken
When your name escapes the lips of every maiden

I have become a sorcerer for your sake
I have pronounce your name millions of times with the parrots
Taught every toddler how to read your names on books
And every bird in the sky how to sing of it

Cos you ajike,
you are the beauty on the crown of time
The clear oil lamp;
Where our ancestors gather around to talk at night

See,I know nothing now other than your name
Ajike, coin of gold; the shining coal
Name of sugared coating; scent of blooming flowers
You are my night; my sun
I'm your hero and I would kill for your love.

MAKE MOTHER CRY NO MORE

Come with me let's go to the south and speak
Let's talk to them about the fallen tears on mothers cheek
The oracle has spoken to me in a language unknown
Language i would declaim to the ears of men alone
That no woman should be made to cry

Come let us move to the east and settle the mire
Let's quench this madness that has spread like wild fire
Mother's tears need not to be fetched
Like an open stream with her bounds stretched
Cos her tears are carved from moon stones

Has the royal drum been sounded in the west
Has the Oni sent out his royal guard to make arrest
Of frail men
Who refuse to leave mothers tears unfallen
Cos her tears brings wrath from the gods

Where men drink her tears joyfully
Where those herdsmen broke mothers tears freely
Lush canopies fall to carpet and the flora wintry home
Mothers tears withers woodlands on fertile loam
Cos Nature never betrays her own

Brethren; we could see she quakes in her fears
Mother is restless with each drop of her tears
Her tears adorns the naked moon
We are no saint; we've faded the moon
cos we poured mothers tears like fools

I may not be good enough for mother
I may have been so foolish like my every other brother
I may have been the black sheep in white dressing
I may have been the son without her blessing
But i'm the only one with a pregnant pen

So when she comes,
Ring my bell of words to her eardrums
Don't get her deaf with this message
Tell her not to worry about me or my luggage
I have embark on this journey
To tell frail men never to search for her tears; it's not honey
Cos her tears is as precious as diamond

BROKEN PRIDE II

I write away my pain in an unfaded ink
That my tears would fall enough for me to swim in
Here in this unfriendly cold and lonely darkness
I bear this stinted memory

I ache in this perennial pain and tears
I scream but no one seem to hear me
I bleed but no one sees my unclothed wound
Cos I wore roses to cover up the thorns

Beneath; my soul tremors with fear
desperate for these nightmare to go
And this scar to fade away
But it won't cos I've been torn apart

My sacred temple corrupted by an unholy worshipper
I have been robbed of my pride by a stranger
He stole my innocence
and took away my dignity

I'm nothing more than I am
And less than the beauty you see
My emotions feels like ice and I am frozen by fear
Even though I could stream a thousand tears
His unholy scent remains undouced

Every time it numbed my mind
Every time it burst my guts
Every time his ghost raves my thought
I gulp down few shots of scotch
To numb myself even the more

If you could look into my eyes
You will see i'm consumed by pain
Can anyone hear me?
Can you hear my desperate call?
Can someone rescue me from these prison walls?

I need to know what it is to breathe
Someone please find me
For my soul lies vacant and fragile
Please hold my frail heart with love
For I am a woman with a broken pride.

A BIT OF THIS

A BIT OF THIS

A bit of that a bit of this,
I love to graze your swollen nipple with a kiss.
i want to make a confession with my lips,
Crucified to the moisture of your clitoris.
A trip of bliss; travelling with ease,
Round your body; let me through your wet puss.
On the lip of it lies wide bliss,
A picnic spot not fit to miss.
Dare not to tremble just moan in peace,
While I drive my royal sword with ease.
Tonight let's take this flight; let me find your abyss,
And feel real passion; real desire from this.
I'll part your wet hot pussy,
It looks so tasty and juicy.
My goal is to please,
To make you weak in the knees.
I'll eat you till your soul leaves your body,
I'll eat you like it is my hobby.
Even when you're weak and numb,
I wont stop, I'll make you cum and cum.
And now that I've got you all wet and ready,
It's time to get things a little hot and heavy.
Did I say hot and heavy?
I meant to say hot and messy.
Cause your pussy my dick fit,
So when you're screaming my name saying Stan please don't stop it.
It's not gonna be just the motion of the ocean,
That's gonna keep your juices in motion.
I'm good at my game,
I'm impeccable with my aim.
I've never missed my mark,
And I ain't about to start.
But don't get it twisted,
This ain't what I'm all about.
Cause just like that I can flip it,
And show you what I really care about.
You see all of this means nothing with out you by my side,
I've not been chasing you for my foolish pride.
I've been chasing after your heart,
And it's been that way since the start.
My goal is not only to bed you,
But to wed you.
To make you my Queen and I your King,
To put on your finger a diamond ring.

BROKEN PRIDE

I'm nothing more than I am
And less than the beauty you see
I've been robbed of my pride
My honey pot is broken
By the rod of a stranger

Someone help me for i'm a broken clay pot
my wrapper has fallen in the market square
Help me for I do not know where to run to
My world is collapsed in the day light
It's wall is crumbled before my very own eyes

Someone please tell my mother that
My beads have fallen into pieces
The waist beads which stand for dignity
Have been taken from me
And never will be returned

Someone please tell my father that
My breast have been drained of it sweetness
Both have been doused by corrupt lips
And would never produce holy milk
For melons of vinegar is all I have left

Someone please tell my husband to-be
I'm nothing more than I am
And less than the beauty he seeks
Beneath that white veil
Is a shredded beauty

Which glitters with broken smile
Not more than a sear rose
Covered with broken thorns as beauty
Please take me and hold my frail heart with love
For I am a woman with a broken pride.

QUEEN MEDESE OF THE EAST

Queen of all gentleness, Lady of all calm,
Whose voice is contentment, whose presence is balm.
Be there in my night, be there in my day,
Your ambiance I seek, your presence I pray.

Queen of all sweetness, effigy of all joy,
Your voice is my bliss, no doubt could destroy.
Be there at my thought, prowl through my mind,
Your love I seek, your heart I want to find.

Queen of all beauty, queen of all maiden,
Whose smile ease and heaves heavy burden.
Grant me strength, I seek for waxed synergy,
And kindling my heart that burns for thee.

Queen of all tenderness, lady of perpetual grace,
Your arms are skilled, eloquent of sweet embrace.
Be there at my homing, this I pray,
Your warmth I crave, at the end of the day.

Queen Medese of the East, Lady of all majesty,
Whose grace humbles kings and hurls dynasty.
Be my lady, for am void of a queen,
The sparkle of your love I seek, be my shine within.

AJIKE

You are not ENIBIOKANMI but ENIOKANMI
Ajike I breath you in and out
As you've become my air
Many are the maidens around
But It's you who have become my heartbeat
The FUJI music my soul dance to
There are so many birds in the sky
But you are the OKIN; the most beautiful of them all
I was at oja IDARA when I first saw you
When your beauty caught my eyes
Your smile that day AJIKE
Robbed me of my sanity armour
I fell so deep in love with you
That I found you wandering the garden of my heart
When I saw you at ODO-ADO the other day
And saw how she wet your pretty face
I thought you were YEYE herself
In the rain yesterday I saw the rain drops
As they ran from your SHUKU
Down from your bosom to your gorgeous feet
And I saw how the earth adores each water drop
That drips from your beautiful attire
There is something special about you AJIKE
That ignite this flame of love inside of me
Could it be your smile?
Cos it sweetness beaconed on me
Could it be your endowment?
That which could not be hidden in a wrapper
Could it be your presence?
That makes the sky barren
And the wind lame in your absence
I think you are among the ORISA
That escorted OLODUMARE to IKOLE AIYE
No wonder your body likens that of a goddess
Far more gorgeous than YEYE OSUN
AJIKE I've drank the love potion in your eyes
I must be filled to the brim
No herb can cure me of this sickness
The ALAWO tried and yet failed
Your love has imprisoned me
I don't want to be set free
So when you see me AJIKE
When next we cross path
Know that this poet has fallen for you
From the tallest IROKO to the deepest river.
Stan has fallen for you.

DEAREST INAMORATA

Your beauty needs no enhancer nor bronzer
You are adorable in a most profound way
As a sheen amidst seas of beauties
You glide my thought in a continuous circuit
My love, your smile is a glitter
It gives me fever
Yet it's my quickest fix and cure
My dearest inamorata
I deem of you in my widest thoughts
On each your beauty is engraved
You've got my heart burning
Earnestly inflamed for you
As the air I breath
I desire you infinitely
As the joy I seek
I long for you earnestly
You are a shooting star I wished upon
A twinkle little star
I gaze the skies in search for
Hoped you would one day fall
And so you did fall
You fell into the solace of my heart
From high altitudes,You fell With grace
And glees My heart with bliss
Beyond what was and what is
Beyond the curtain of our time
Beyond my dreams and expectations
My heart glees of bliss you bring
you’re my obsess and my favourite weakness
I find strength and synergy with you
In my book, you are the paragraph and only chapter
My score, against the pundit’s odds
My sure bet when the stakes are down
You are the apple of my eyes, the marble of my soul
A pleasant flower in my heart's garden
your nectar beacons on me, rich in sugar and honey
If your love chokes, and I’m asthmatic
Your dust, I shall inhale willingly
Loving you is an accomplished crime
I so wished to be jailed for.

BROKEN

My pen inks in pain with flows of rhythm in my syllables,
ink of emotions spills across my book; searching for miracles.
Our love transcend visibly in a prism wherein our emotions are true,
A perfect economy of true love so impossible to construe.
Here I am thinking of the life we lived and the memories we shared,
The sparks of emotions we created; how much we cared.
Sounds of the bliss and whispers of our love that could be heard,
In our quite moment of affections it was just you and i not a third.
our love could be felt descending from the skies we were under,
Never was there an iota of fear; not a thing to bother.
Our love could travel the world and split the heavens cover,
And this feeling we had was more than all of earths wonder.
I had you in my heart whispering to my soul,
And when you're not with me i'm never in one whole.
When I'm around you I can even hear the stars speak,
Confessing how our love humbles the heavens making it weak.
You were all I had thought in life and in my dream,
And I had felt this perfection that could only be found in heaven's realm.
But life happened and destroyed it all,
Can you hear my heart splitting as it fall?.
Each is a fragment that bleeds of my undying love for you,
Despite how real it is, this love wasn't good enough for you.
No matter how much I try; you will forever be a part of me,
Even though this love is defied and never meant to be.
I was blind; now I understand the expression that love isn't always right.
And breaking everything that I was; can you sleep with a smile at night?
Broken by fate; I shed my tears every night when I cry,
But you live happily like there's a new rainbow in the skies.

THE VOW TO "Ajike" THE BRIDE

There aren't enough stars in the east,
To show number of times my heart beats for you.
There aren't enough desert in the north,
To show how far i'd really go for you.
There aren't enough depth in the lagoon,
To tell you Ajike, how deep my feelings run for you.
Ajike,I'd sail across the niger's,
Climb to the apex of the olumo,
Walk through the lush vegetation of the siambisa,
If that's what it takes to spend eternity with you.
You know,If words could fall like rain,
Form this lyrics of mine.
I will use all the words the earth could gather,
To tell you, you are the goddess even YEYE could not match.
You are not just the Queen of Maidens,
But the Queen of the Queens who had grace and will ever grace the earth.
From the hills to the valleys of our land,
Comes you Ajike; the source of my joy.
The single reason my hearts river never runs dry,
It's your smile that comes with hope whose shine cannot be faded.
I was lost, when the waves of your love found me,
It carried me like whirlwind,
And brought me to this moment we are.
Your love is that which set me free,
And made your heart the hamlet I call home.
Ajike, am lost in this lush vegetation of your heart,
So deep that I can't here the hunter’s trumpet.
i've gone astray in your thoughts,
For unto you is all that I bear.
I speak this few words of mine,
Hiss flowing just like the stream at Odo-Ado,
To let you know that in you and only you,
This imperfect poet finds perfection.
To let you know that its you and only with you,
This poet wants to spend forever with.
Making beautiful babes that would portray the image of our love,
For as I pledge my love to you,
Before the most gracious eyes of Olodumare.
Through this holy vow,
I promise to remember always,
Never to defy this love I feel for you this moment.
Never to exist any dew after the rain of this love,
Not for another maiden on this earth.
I vow to love and cherish you,
And never to leave you,
Not in sickness; not even in death.
when life happens; when this journey of love gets tough,
I will be strong for you; like the zuma rock,
Here and here after; Today and tomorrow,
For this love we share is forever; always it has been and always it will be.

THE VOW

There aren't enough stars in the sky,
To show number of times my heart beats for you.
There aren't enough depth in the universe,
To show how far I'd really go for you.
I'd give to my last breath,
Just to spend eternity with you.
If possible,I would die a thousand times,
If that's what it takes to be with you.
You know,If words could fall like rain,
Form this lyrics of mine.
I will use all the words the earth could gather,
To tell you how special u are to me,
if only Shakespeare was around,
To make you know Romeo could never have felt for Juliet,
What this poet feels for you.
If eternity lies in my hands,
I would still run out of time.
To tell you how much I love you,
To make you know how much I need you.
Just as Adam could never be complete without Eve,
This poet will never be complete without you.
Just like salt is useless without its taste,
And the dark sky loses its glitter without the stars
My whole life loses its meaning without you
To know in you and only you,
This imperfect poet finds perfection.
To know with you and only with you,
This Adam wants to spend forever with.
Finding synergy and strength,
To dream,to breath,to live and to finding a life of purpose.
As we stand here today,
I see in many ways love can be perfect.
For as I pledge my love to you,
Before our most generous God.
Through this holy vow,
I promise to remember always,
Never to defy this love I feel for you this moment.
Never forget to always cherish you with tenderness,
And when life happens,my patience will never run dry,
Today,tomorrow and forever.

PERFECT LOVE

My eyes in awe with you in my arm,
I behold you gracefully in all of your beauty and charm.
Awaken, with you prowling on my mind,
love has shrouded my eyes; you are all I could find.
I've found a love In you that fills me deep,
A love that can't be found in the most peaceful sleep.
It was a desire; that had always been a wish,
And now that one "want" has become a happiness and bliss.
Longer I have searched for that perfect one,
I never knew you were that someone waiting for me to own.
Never did I think possible; to finding a heart like mine,
In a beautiful woman like you; who shares the same mind.
we were just friends when love came whirling,
Now you've stolen my heart and you have my life's bearing.
Your zeal for life keeps me in an eternal awe,
The beauty of who you are that defies Heavens Law.
Surely there Is no doubting that you are the one,
You're my everything; the very moon to my sun.
Because surely you are beyond the magnificence of gems and pearls,
and your voice is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
Forgive me for I dare not lose your presence from my life,
Cos your love carries more than just my secret life.
I hope that someday we'll share a home,
Cos darling, your heart is all I own.
You are that missing piece; to the puzzle I could not complete,
And now it is finished; and life is obsolete!
